Happy New Year!!!
I hope you had fun bringing in the new year, whether it was a night on the town, or snuggled on your couch with your kids. Me… we stayed home, rented Brave on DirecTV and I was asleep by 10pm. The boys made it until 11, Natasha made it until 11:30, and Val stayed up till midnight. Pretty uneventful, but honestly, it was perfect!
It feels great to start off the new year with a new movie! I’m headed to Louisiana this weekend to start shooting a t.v. movie called Finding Normal. I’m not sure when it will air, but you know I’ll keep you posted!
I’m also in the process of writing my next book! I’m super excited and can’t wait to share more about it. Sorry to keep you in suspense on the topic, but it will have something for everyone: LIFE!
Lastly, I want to share with you that I’m praying big this year. Actually, I’ve been praying big since last year which is furthering my trust in prayer even more coming into the new year. My prayer partner Stacy and I read The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson. Just like Stacy, this too has been my most influential read of 2012. It’s helped me take God out of the box I continually put Him in. While I’ve personally seen many small prayers answered in my own life since documenting them for the last year, read about Stacy’s incredible year here! Praying specifically for her and seeing God move in her life has been beyond encouraging in my own walk.
If you are the praying kind, and I’m talking prayer warrior, praying like you mean it…. I’d love your prayers if I come to mind during your day. If you’re inclined, would you pray for safe travels this weekend, an amazing shoot that will minister to all those working on the film and watching it, for boldness in divine appointments to share the gospel with those I work with, and for my health and stamina (the weather is cold, and it’s not supposed to be winter in the movie, so my clothing won’t be warm enough as well as working very long hours). I will also be writing my book… please pray for wisdom, clarity, focus, inspired stories and scripture and that God will breathe every word of it. And last but certainly not least, Val will be home with the kids. Would you pray for them and their safety? Val is an awesome dad and always has it all under control. But I know it’s tough to be the only one doing everything for everybody. 🙂 I’ll be missing them terribly. I haven’t even left yet and I’m already on the verge of tears.
Since I’ll be working hard over the next 3 weeks, you probably won’t hear from me too much on my blog, but make sure to check back! We have amazing new posts every day from the contributors at RooMag.
Thank you!!!! You all mean the world to me and I appreciate your support and prayers more than you’ll ever know!
P.S. Here’s our Christmas card!! I hope it makes you laugh. We sure had fun with it!
