Let It Snow: in Vancouver

A&C

I’m so excited to have just finished filming another Hallmark movie!! And by the title, you’ve probably guessed, it’s a Christmas movie! I’m a total sucker for these and sit down every December to watch them with my family. They’re the best, aren’t they?! Heartfelt, romantic, funny, cheery, warm and entertaining. I’ve been wanting to do another Christmas movie, and was stoked when the producer called, asked me to read the script and see if I was interested. I hope you’ll love this one as much as you loved Moonlight and Mistletoe; I’m loving it even more! They tailored the script more towards my personality and so there are pieces of the real me in there. It was like being a little kid on Christmas morning!

I worked with a fantastic cast; the very handsome and Jesus lovin’ Jesse Hutch, my “other” t.v. dad Alan Thicke (keeping it all in the family, right?) and several other wonderful Canadian actors in Vancouver. God truly blessed me with a gracious and hardworking crew. The director, Harvey Frost, directed my last Hallmark movie, “Puppy Love,” and this will be the 3rd time working with the ever delicious producer Craig Anderson who knows how to produce a good movie.

J&C

Jesse and I had a ton of fun shooting short videos throughout the movie which are posted on my Keek account. You can view them easily on your computer or download the app for your phone. Or just check out the videos below that Jesse made! He’s a director in the making and loves showing what a diva I am. (Not really, haha)

We had a few very funny outtakes and Jesse caught this one on his camera. I was “supposed” to get splashed with slush on my legs and lower part of my stomach. Watch what really happened on the second take!

Enjoy my personal photos and behind the scenes footage from “Let It Snow.” I’ll keep you posted on the air date which will be at the end of November or early December on Hallmark Channel. If you have any questions about the movie or how we make it, just ask in the comments below! Thanks for reading, thanks for watching and thanks for being a fan. I couldn’t do what I love without YOU!

Here you can see how many people it takes as well as the technical aspects of filming the "ski" scene. And when you watch it on t.v., you'd never know how much went into making the shot!

Here was one of the stunts I did. I was hooked up to a rig, attached to the camera which was on a snow mobile. We got "close up" shots of me skiing!

I'm with my stand-in Michelle. She was the same height and build as me, so when they called for 2nd team, she's stand in for me while they'd light the set. You won't see her in the movie, but she was there for every scene!

That's a wrap! This was the last shot of our movie.

P.S. I celebrated my birthday while I was there! Catering made me a special birthday cake!
